Fugen Constructions was engaged to deliver a comprehensive refurbishment of the Hunter River Hotel, marking our second collaboration with Hap Hotels.

• Full venue demolition and strip-out over two storeys.
• Upgrades to the main bar, sports bar, expanded kitchen footprint, bistro, gaming room and upstairs function space.
• Enhancements to the entry way, outdoor terrace, and beer garden.
• All-new mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fire services.
• A new lift for improved accessibility.
• Stylish finishes, including joinery, timber wall panelling, and a value-engineered acoustic timber-look ceiling to the bistro dining area.
• A dedicated children’s play area.

The project was completed across three stages, allowing the venue to remain fully operational throughout. With temporary bars, kitchens, and gaming rooms set up, we ensured uninterrupted service for patrons while delivering quality outcomes.

The result is a beautifully transformed venue that offers a modern, accessible, and family-friendly experience for all patrons to enjoy.
