Retired Marist Brothers Residence

Client: Marist Brothers Australia
Value: $5.0M

This project involved the Design and Construction of the Retired Marist Brothers Residence, a special purpose, hostel type aged care facility, which was built on the site of redundant tennis courts and a heritage cottage.

The development consisted of a basement underground car park and two levels of individual accommodation for sixteen people. The complex included a communal kitchen, laundry facilities, lounge and dining areas, workshop and hobby room, outdoor terrace and an internal courtyard.

A major design element was the two storey private chapel with feature lighting, leadlight, slumped glass full height panels, timber veneer panelling and mezzanine level. The heritage cottage was meticulously restored and incorporated into the development as the front entrance and administration office.
