Building on our longstanding partnership with Ryan’s Hotel Group, Fugen Constructions was engaged to deliver the refurbishment of The Ship Inn, a Sydney harbourside landmark, marking our 7th collaboration together.

In operation since 1936, this refurbishment was particularly special as it involved an exciting transformation that brings modern functionality and enhanced ambiance to this long-standing venue.

Our scope of works included:

• A complete strip-out of the existing hotel and refurbishment.
• An expanded and upgraded kitchen, ready to meet the demands of a busy venue.
• A façade transformation, involving the cutting through 750mm of solid concrete to create a greater flow of natural light.
• Installation of new windows and custom tiling to enhance the façade’s aesthetic.
• A new gaming room with a dedicated entrance for convenience.

This project is a testament to our team’s ability to balance structural complexity with aesthetic refinement. We couldn’t have achieved this without the collaboration of our client, consultants, and trades, and look forward to seeing the revitalised Ship Inn become a favourite destination for locals and visitors alike.
