Fugen Constructions has been engaged to deliver the refurbishment of the Armidale Hotel in regional New South Wales.
The project comprises a 2,000m² full strip-out and rebuild of the existing hotel, including significant internal reconfiguration and services upgrades. Delivering works within an existing structure will require detailed planning, staging, and coordination to ensure the programme is maintained and site constraints are effectively managed.
Early site inspections and planning sessions have commenced, providing the team with a clear understanding of the building’s current condition and the constraints associated with the refurbishment. This early phase is critical in establishing methodology, sequencing, and access strategies prior to construction.
Working closely with the client and consultant team, Fugen is progressing design coordination and buildability input to ensure all approvals, documentation, and procurement activities are aligned ahead of the construction phase.
The project continues Fugen’s established working relationship with Feros Group and H&E Architects. This existing collaboration supports efficient communication and decision-making, which is particularly important on refurbishment projects of this scale.
The Armidale Hotel refurbishment highlights Fugen’s capability to deliver complex upgrade works within existing assets, with a focus on planning, coordination, and programme certainty.
Further updates will be provided as the project progresses.
